Getting to know us: EBF Farms LLC was on of the earliest Blueberry farms started in Demotte, IN. John Sauer moved to this area in 1943 and brought with him six blueberry plants from Cedar Lake, IN and that was the beginning of blueberries in this area. Sauer became a licensed nurseryman and began to propagate and grow new plants which he planted on his farm and sold to others in the area. One of this who became interested in the blueberries was Ernest Eenigenburg who purchased plants from Mr. Sauer in 1948 and started a farm on the north side of Demotte. Sauer retired Ernest also bought his farm on the east side of Demotte and this began the businesses that have carried on into FIVE generations. Looking for something to do this summer? Want to plan a fun summer day out? Take the family and come and enjoy the great outdoors, take along a picnic lunch and just enjoy a day in the country. U-Pick fields are open Monday thru Saturday, closed on Sunday. We supply you with a picking pail but we do ask that you take containers or boxes to take your berries home. And don't forget the sunscreen! The sun can get a little warm in July! We sell ready-picked blueberries all hand-picked by our pickers. It's a good thing to call ahead and order them because we have a big demand for our delicious berries. We look forward to seeing all of our faithful customers from over the many years we have been in business. You have become our friends and we look forward to seeing you each summer. We also sell some delicious blueberry goods-- Blueberry BBQ sauce, syrup, viniagrette dressing, jam, jelly and preserves, blueberry honey and yes even blueberry mustard which goes great dipped with pretzels and blueberry coffee and different teas. Lots of fun stuff to try. So come on out and make it a day!

Our U-Pick is still open. We have about a half a field still ready to be picked we hope to make it through Saturday so if you haven't been out yet this is the last call to get some farm fresh blueberries this year. We are so disheartened with the short season but we can't choose the weather we get in the spring.

An Important Update: Ready-Picked Season is Closed 🫐
We are officially no longer taking orders for the season, and we will not have any more ready-picked blueberries available. This post is for the NORTH FARM on 713 15th Ave (1400 N).
To everyone who missed out on berries this year, we are truly so sorry. This cold spring was devastating for our crop, but your kindness has meant the world to us.
Thank you so much to everyone who called, stopped by the farm, and showed us such wonderful support and understanding during a tough season. Our community is truly the best.
Our U-Pick field is still open and has berries you can pick we will reevaluate that field on Saturday to see how long it will stay open so if you are wanting to pick your own come on out soon before they are gone.
✨ Looking Ahead to 2027: We are already starting a contact list for next year! If you want to be the first to know when we open for the 2027 blueberry season, please send us a message or comment below, and we will add your name and phone number to the list. We will be working hard to take care of our bushes this off-season, and we are praying for a much better, warmer spring next year. We hope to see everyone back at the farm next season! 🚜❤️
