Beautiful day in S Louisiana. Moving my garden to east side of our house. Changing from raised beds to container due to back issues. This area will be where containers will be as not to have to w**d eat around everything. Not quite done. Using what was on hand around homestead, except mulch.

Its been a very hot minute since I've posted. The farm is still under going some changes. Right now we are currently growing out meat birds for our freezer. We have new baby rabbits. We have decided to start raising meat rabbits again. We have 1 lonely wethered buckling named Homer. We just got Pork Chop, our grow out pig back from freezer camp. We have some Game Roosters. 1 is Hei Hei. He was bad this morning. He decided to fight another one that was in a pen and turned him loose to have a rumble session all over the back yard. So Hei Hei is doin jail time. Homer thinks if i am sitting on back porch he should have his animal crackers.

Not a whole bunch exciting stuff happening around Homestead lately. Getting some necessary repairs done in kitchen. A new back deck was built, so I can sit drink.my coffee and watch our animals lol. Hay has been put up for winter, well what winter we do get in S. Louisiana. Blue, our freezer camp bound bull, always causing chaos. Chaos, the cat always supervising us lol

May has been a busy month. We have several small projects going on. All our piggies have gone to awesome homes, and are being so spoiled. Honey, the horse has settled in her mini pasture. I've been trying to keep up with the cucmbers and making pickles. Found a couple unwanted friends around the farm, aka spiders. We have helped different friends on different projects. Water line ran for a new home coming soon for some family. Hay delivery to help a wonderful Ms D. Added a new goat wife for TBoy, a new blue heeler puppy as of last night. Toot Toot, idk of she will be an actual working dog or just another recliner dog 🤣 God blessed and we were able to go away on a mini vacay to Larto Lake@ Uncle Bucks Cabins. This wasn't possible without my neice Meaghan farm sitting. God has been good to us and we have some plans for the future. Just waiting on His timing. Proverbs 3:5-6.

Piggies are enjoying "fresh, clean" water. TBoy begging for food. The Littles just hanging out. Plenty of cucumbers for pickling. The sows have gone to "freezer camp". I havent made it to chickens yet today. It already HAWT here in S. Louisiana. Time to kick in the early morning feeding schedule.
