2024 Beef Expo was a success- Taylor and Tank the heifer received 2nd in class and Reserve Showman! The steers all landed middle in their classes and lots more time for them to grow to be ready for the 2025 show season!

We couldn’t be prouder on the successful County Fair with the Shady Lane Farms show string - Kendra and Taylor represented us well!! Congrats on the success

2023 Goodhue County Fair

Since the calves were born the winter of 2022 until this week, the girls have been working with their show string of 7 animals - the past 18 months has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows - the days were long of daily hair care and halter work, non stop diet changes, a heartfelt loss of Kendra's angus heifer two weeks before fair, and many prizes and jackpot checks received - but what pics don't show are the life lessons learned along the way and the memories we will cherish with this special show string.

We ended the fair with:

*Rate of Gain Grand Champion for Market heifer and steer
*3rd Overall Heifer
*Top five beef steers for both - heavy weight Champion for Charlie
*1st in class for both Hereford heifers
*Grand Champion Market Heifer
*Reserve Champion Senior Showman, and participant in Supreme Showman

The heifers headed to pasture this morning, and Kendra, Taylor the boys (Hank and Charlie) will have one more stop at the MN State Fair!!
