"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; ... A time to kill, and a time to heal;" -- Ecclesiastes 3:1-3
Yesterday, I found 2 newborn kits plastered with blood and bits of placenta, p**p, and fur. My cousin and I gently cleaned them and put them back in the nest. A couple hours later, I found a duckling struggling in the pool, unable to keep its head upright. My daughter and I syringed Red Cell, made a neck brace from a toilet paper tube and vet wrap, and isolated it. I wondered if the 3 babies would survive. The first pics are from this morning: 2 clean, dry, healthy kits, and 1 happy, strong duckling. βΊοΈ On a farm, there is a time to kill and a time to heal. Sometimes it's hard to know the right path to take. But I am so happy I took the time to heal. My farm came close to losing 3 babies, but those 3 babies lived to see another day. π₯°
