This morning we enjoyed hosting the students from the Sustainable Agriculture Department at Davidson-Davie Community College as they visited the farm to learn about forage and livestock production.

One word to describe 8560 is exactly what her name is, Beauty. Out of the pathfinder Sir Bruns Blaster, Shady Brook Beauty 8560 is a deep and wide cow with a lot of performance and power!

Here is Ellingson Homestead daughter out of the Evergreen cow family. Her dam has been raised on Kentucky 31 fescue and continues to maintain good body condition even while she nursed twin heifers as a 2 year old. As a 3 year old she bred back AI and delivered this tremendous heifer calf. The definition of a profitable cow is to calve and then turn around and breed back in less than 365 days she has done just that. Excited to watch this young heifer follow in her dams footsteps.

L169 is one of our bulls up for private treaty. With a strong top, big quarters and a good rounded belly he’s easy to spot. Out of the Hazel cow family and Mountain Creek Sustain that is working as a herd sire at Knoll Crest Farm. Sustain is an efficient maternally oriented bull.

What an up and coming Coleman Donna 714 granddaughter! Out of the maternal oriented ZWT Donna 6787 and a locally breed growth bull URF Alpha G138 at Origen, this is the type of female to build a herd around! She’s a maternally oriented calf with some growth! DOB 9/20
