We are trying a cleaner approach to water supply. These babies are so smart that as I took them out of the basket, tapped their beak to the water ripple, and then put down in the brooder -- they went right to the waterer!

I waited for 30 mins after meet time. Then she BLOCKED ME!

She pushed trying to get my venmo information without even seeing pictures of the bird, didnt ask information on it and then continuing to lie to say she was coming when she didnt plan to. She has now blocked me!

DONT PAY FULLY BEFORE YOU HAVE SEEN A BIRD! You need to put hands on the bird and inspect it for parasites, poopy butt, and coloring of combs/wattles/face before deciding to buy!

Good evening Everyone!

I wanted to apologize for being quiet on this page. Lots of very sudden changes happened in a short amount of time and my attention had to refocus.
I ran into a health issue, but I underwent a surgery, recovered wonderfully and now back on my feet.
My MIL then was admitted to the hospital, so I had to drive 3.5hrs to get to her. My daughter and I ended up staying with her in the hospital for quite a while.
Then if not to sprinkle in some more fun, I was laid off of my job due to a company acquisition. So needless to say, its been quite eventful here!

The girls are in full swing, incubators are rolling and our first public batches will be ready in 2 weeks.

At this time we have Blue, Black, and Splash cooking.
Working on some Black Split to Chocolate and Some Black Split to Lavendar. Still testing those lines.

P.S. We do still have 1 Choc EO roo (pet quality), 2 Black EO roos (1 pet, 1 breeder quality) all at a year old. Then a 3 yr old Black EO roo available

Good evening everyone! Our little homestead has decided to put our Standard Lavender flock Up For Discussion.

It includes 6 hens and 1 rooster. Hens are 4 yrs and rooster is 2 yrs, their fertility rate this past season was at 96%. (120 all together)

I also have 3/4 cockrels @ 5 months and 4 pullets @ 2.5 months old that also are up for discussion. I will get pictures of them and add to this post (130 all together)

Please message if you are interested as the older flock has almost completed their molting process. They will be dewormed and preventative will be done before leaving our farm to ensure a smooth transition.

I have always been one to help others in their breeding journey. I not only want to see the SOP standards to be followed but I want to see responsible genetics being bred.

So with that being said, I wanted to share a few helpful charts when it comes to crossing and possible color variations. Please screenshot what you need to continue to grow the best birds out there!!

End of summer hatches....
Hear me out!

Think about those spring babies, growing out, then by the time they are supposed to start laying, winter hits! Less daylight, possible small molt going on, and no eggs until spring of next year.

End of summer babies - growing during warm months still, feathering out fully before real winter hits in January, and by the time late spring hits they will be ready to lay!!! Less time wait and feed before a return on your investment!!

And we will be able to offer growouts in spring!!
Can't wait to see these babies grow!!
