We have some new additions to GCF! We picked up 11 chicks today and also 2 fully grown hens. The chicks are Rhode Island Reds, and the hens are Amercaucana. The hens were a surprise so they don’t have any names yet. Comment below any name suggestions!!!

The chicks are named after the eleven herbs and spices in the KFC recipe. If there is a rooster, his name will be Colonel Sanders.

The hens are still a little timid of us after a big move today. They are sticking pretty close together, but the black one has been more brave and has come the closest to us.

Growing up, my parents and grandparents would always get me a yearly ornament. The ornament always reflected on something i did or liked that year. I love a “collected” tree, and I love being able to reminisce while decorating it. I’m so glad to be able to continue that tradition with my own daughter ❤️

Putting out the Christmas decorations has made my heart so happy! I still think i want to add a little something more to both mantles, but not sure what. If you saw my story, i got the goose pitcher and red canister yesterday from an antique mall and love them! The red canister will probably be year round decoration, but the goose pitcher is for Christmas! 🪿
