Some may wonder what we do when we are not selling trees. If you’re one of those people please continue to read. Yesterday we attended the winter Maryland Christmas Tree Assoiation meeting held in Hereford, MD. We heard from representatives from University of Maryland, Maryland Department of Agriculture, Maryland Farm Bureau, and National Christmas Tree Association. Dad serves as President and lead the meeting. We learned about how land use in Maryland is such a hot topic. Land use for solar panels and data centers are impacting Maryland growers. We also learned that members of the board have been working hard to get our MCTA website updated. It was great to network with other growers and come home with increased knowledge.

Finally a warm afternoon to do some outdoor cleanup. Pulled remaining fence posts, organized and broke down the wreath shop (greenhouse) and loaded up tree carts.

It’s hard to believe how fast the tree season comes and goes!

Friday, Dec. 19 update! We have a nice selection of pre cut Fraser firs priced from $95 to $120. The pre cut pavilion is open until 6:00 pm. The choose and cut lot is open until 4:30 when it gets dark. You can still find 5-6’ trees out there. We also have wreaths, grave blankets and swags for sale and can still make to order.

Want some good news? Check out this video I put together in an effort to share a heartwarming story. To whomever the person was who made this possible, we thank you and so does the end recipient. We used your donation to provide a tree, tree stand, and Santa wreath with a hanger.

Thank you Aarons Place for keeping your eyes and ears open for a deserving person for us! Thank you to your volunteer Greg for delivering these items along with much needed food!

I threw in a $50 gift card someone had given me to pass along to a deserving individual. Figure this lady with no food could use it.

Sunday, Dec. 14! Snow on the farm! So pretty! We are here until 5:00 today(closing 1 hour early for safety). Plenty of gorgeous pre cut Fraser in the pre cut pavilion. The lot is open if you want to walk in the snow. Prices start at $60. Still taking orders for fresh wreaths, swags, and grave blankets / hearts. If you don’t yet have your tree, come let us help you!

Thank you all so much for another great weekend! It was heartwarming to see so many returning customers and see new faces leave happy!

Santa even surprised us today! That was wonderful! Thank you Santa!
