Real food starts with real process. 🌽

We recently spent time with Don Zorros Molino, a local maíz mill that turns whole corn into real masa using the traditional process of nixtamalization.

This craft is the foundation of great tortillas, tamales, and so much more, and it’s a living part of our local food culture.

We made a short film to share their work and the people behind it.

We’re thrilled to highlight Bertha Moran, our Lead Warehouse Steward! ⭐

Bertha leads our team of stewards in packing, organizing, and supporting our Warehouse Manager Coordinator—all while bringing fresh ideas 💡 and enthusiasm to the team.

Outside of work, Bertha volunteers with numerous community organizations dedicated to supporting Latinx families and individuals. Her commitment to the EDFH mission—to deliver fresh 🥦, local 🥕, and sustainable 🌱 food options to our customers and communities—is inspiring.

Bertha also serves as a board member of The Ag & Food Lab, contributing her knowledge, dedication to equity, and passion for a food culture rooted in sustainability and resilience to everything she does.
