our first small kitchen on Colfax Avenue in Denver, the Abarca’s philosophy continues to provide a vision for each of our company initiatives. With our current multi-facility production footprint, we stand by the integrity of our food and the collective knowledge and expertise of our workforce. We have grown Ready Foods into a medium-sized company because we have a strong company culture that promotes inclusion and respect for the dignity of all people. This week, our team had the opportunity to tour Royal Crest Dairy — one of our trusted suppliers for milk and cream here at Ready Foods.

This year, we made the switch to receiving our milk and cream in reusable 300-gallon totes. Seeing the process firsthand and gaining a deeper understanding of how it all comes together was incredibly valuable. We also got to hear more about the other sustainability initiatives Royal Crest has in place — a great reminder of the importance of knowing where your ingredients come from and who you are partnering with.

A big thank you to the Royal Crest Dairy team for having us — we truly appreciate the time and hospitality. Proud to work with suppliers who share our commitment to doing things the right way.

Our Maintenance and HR Teams have been working with the Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) and the Food Industry Technician (FIT) program as part of our effort to bring new mechanics onto our team.

It's been a great experience connecting with talented individuals who are building careers in food manufacturing — programs like these are doing really important work developing the next generation of technical talent in our industry.
