Day 4 of proving Colorado has better Mexican food than California… and Taqueria el viejon in Denver makes cabesa tacos so real California would call animal control 😭🔥 Eyes, cheeks, tongue the whole cow head slow‑cooked until it falls apart softer than a California fan in my comments. This is Sinaloa street food. No filters. No “fusion.” No $18 influencer tacos. Colorado is cooking with CULTURE… California is cooking with excuses. Put some respect on El Viejón. And put some respect on Colorado’s name.

Kinoya📍9393 E Dry Creek Rd, Centennial, CO 80112 pulled up with that elevated energy — everything fresh to order, no weak plates, no sitting‑out sushi. Lunch hittin’ for $25.99 with sushi, ramen, and Japanese dishes that actually slap. Dinner starts at $38.99 and that’s when they start flexin’ — dim sum, tamaki, all the extras. And if you really wanna go crazy, that premium menu got toro, wagyu, lobster, nigiri, and sashimi so fresh it’s disrespectful. This ain’t your average sushi joint — it’s Kinoya, and it’s a whole vibe 🍣🔥

Vacana Burger is Colombian fast‑food turned all the way up. They’re serving some of the craziest burgers and dogs in the city — stacked, messy, dripping, and built for people who actually love flavor.

Churros y postres la chiquis just opened their SECOND location 📍88th & York in Thornton and I’m telling you right now… their fresas con crema should come with an addiction warning 😭🔥

Fresh strawberries, layers of that housemade whip cream, your choice of toppings… it’s over. Plus filled churros, Dubai‑style chocolate churros and strawberries, churro ice cream, funnel cakes, Mexican snacks… they do NOT stop. This one’s a MUST TRY — add it to the hit list immediately.

Westrail Tap & Tequila just dropped a whole new vibe on Lakewood. Still the neighborhood spot everybody pulls up to for the games — big screens everywhere, the energy always buzzing — but now they’re bringing that Mexican flair to the menu and it fits perfectly. Scratch‑made pub food, new tequila‑forward cocktails, 30+ beers on tap, and plates that hit way harder than your typical sports bar. This is the kind of place where you come for the game but stay for the food. Happy Hour? Seven days a week. Private events? They got you. Locally owned, locally loved, and officially upgraded. West Rail Tap & Tequila… Lakewood’s new flavor wave.

Day 4 of proving Colorado has better Mexican food than California… and at this point I’m convinced California doesn’t even wanna play anymore 😭🔥 Every day Colorado drops something crazier, and today Las Tortugas pulled up with the Super Cubana — a torta so loaded it needs its own parking spot.

Milanesa, pierna, huevo, chorizo, salchicha, jamón, queso amarillo, beans, avocado, jalapeños… bro this isn’t a torta, this is a survival kit.

Las Tortugas is cooking like they’re trying to win a championship, and California is somewhere arguing about carne asada fries 😮‍💨🌮 Put some respect on Colorado’s name.
