GFI
The Global Foodservice Institute (GFI) was established in 2009 to promote and further the continuing education of the food service and hospitality industry. Formed originally in cooperation with the State University of New York in Morrisville, NY with the late Dr. Joan Johnson. GFI, today is headquartered in Denver, Colorado and works today with the Food Service Institute (FSI) based in Florida as well as the International Food Service Executives Association (IFSEA). Additionally, under the guidance of the University of South Florida, Sarasota College of Hospitality and Tourism Management from the M-3 Center GFI testing is reviewed and validated. GFI assures that the qualitative test questions are of value and represents what a food service and hospitality industry professional should have profeciency in knowleged and practical application in industry. GFI is “a continuing education champion for the betterment of the hospitality industry”.
