Our Story
Our journey started back in August 2011, when we found ourselves adopting Tasha, she was 10 years old. At the time, we weren’t animal lovers and we had zero clue on how to be dog parents. Luckily, Tasha was able to teach us everything we had to know and more. Tasha is the reason why we now follow a compassionate lifestyle towards all creatures, human and non-human. • We decided to name our business after Tasha to remember and honor her. Since Tasha’s Kitchen is an authentic Mexican food and bakery named after a loved one who has passed away, we decided to go with a Day of the Dead theme. Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican holiday that celebrates and honors family members and friends who have died. Day of the Dead also has a special connection with dogs. Dogs like the famously known Xolos are believed to guide the ancestral spirits to their final resting place in the afterlife. • Thank you all for supporting us and helping us honor our sweet girl. This is just the beginning of Tasha’s Kitchen and we are excited for everything that is yet to come. Tasha’s Kitchen is not just a place to eat but an outreach to the community.
