1️⃣Cow’s milk and hen’s egg are the most common allergies for babies. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣40% of children with food allergies will be allergic to more than one food.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

As a mom of a child with life threatening allergies, I know how scary this can feel. And your fears are valid: in the U.S., food allergies in children rose 50% from 1997 to 2011 and the prevalence of peanut and tree nut allergies *tripled* during this time. Interestingly, this is roughly the same period of time in which parents were advised to refrain from introducing peanuts and other allergens up to the child’s 3rd birthday…⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That said, 92% of our children won’t have allergies. That’s also a significant number, too.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Although it is possible to be allergic to any food, the most common food allergens are cow milk, egg, finned fish, peanut, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
