Garlic Shrimp Melt with Cheese 🦐🧀
Ingredients 🛒
12 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 slices of sourdough or rustic bread
1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Red pepper flakes (optional, for a little kick)
Directions 👩🍳
Cook the Shrimp: Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using), and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through. Remove from heat.
Toast the Bread: While the shrimp cooks, toast the slices of sourdough in a separate skillet or toaster until golden brown.
Assemble the Melt: Place the toasted bread on a baking sheet. Top each slice with a generous amount of cheese, then layer the cooked shrimp on top.
Melt the Cheese: Place the bread under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately. Enjoy the cheesy, garlicky perfection!
