Double Barrel-Aged Cursed Hive is officially the first River North beer to win a medal before being released to the public, taking Gold at the 2026 Honey Beer Competition.

Meet Double Barrel Aged Cursed Hive. 🍯

These barrels were first filled with Colorado whiskey, followed by Colorado honey, then again with Colorado whiskey and finally imperial stout. The beer was conditioned a second time in small batch Colorado bourbon barrels with a splash of orange blossom honey.

Horrifyingly delicious. 16.4% ABV. Landing at both taprooms this Saturday, August 29.

His favorite River North beer is Fifteener Double IPA. When he’s feeling dark, it’s Barrel-Aged Mr. Sandman.

Before you ask: 6’7”. And yes, the weather is fine up there.

Single Cask Hello Darkness is a 15.2% ABV imperial porter aged 25 months in a Colorado 8-year whiskey barrel, pulling everything we love about Hello Darkness through one seriously special barrel.
