Today, August 1, marks 150 years of Colorado!

Colorado was proclaimed as the 38th state on August 1, 1876 by President Ulysses S. Grant. The state was founded 100 years after America, giving it the nickname “the Centennial State.”

Today we celebrate the history, spirit, and people that have made the Centennial State what it is today.

As communities across Colorado continue to face the impacts of wildfires, our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected. The Colorado Restaurant Foundation Angel Relief Fund provides hardship grants to restaurant employees who have been impacted by natural disasters. If you or someone you know has been impacted, apply at corestaurant.org/angel-relief-fund (link in bio). Public donations can be made to the Angel Relief Fund to further support these grants.

The public can support Colorado communities impacted by wildfires by donating to verified local relief organizations. Financial contributions help provide meals, emergency supplies, shelter, medical support, and other resources for community members and first responders. Link in bio to access donation sites.
