It's that time of year again where we harvest hops, in my case, backyard hops! Putting them in my Black IPA, "Black [H]Ops"!

I also upgraded my Mashtun to a 30 gallon Bräu Supply which worked out awesome today! So nice not to have to do back to back mashes!

Canning beers and cleaning lines.

I used to dread bottling and canning. Canning with a beer gun was just so damn slow.

Move over, KegLand Homebrew Supplies has you covered with their Cannular can filler! I don't know why I didn't buy this thing sooner! 40ish min to can 5 gallons, it's so much faster and it's so easy to tear down and clean. This thing πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ’―. I can't recommend it enough for anyone who cans or bottles!

One of the beers canned today was my kettle sour. For this sour I created a base using Amoretti Brewing artisan graham cracker and their vanilla. Then during canning I used
Key lime pie, peach and strawberry lemonade to make a variety of fruit forward sours! Looking forward to drinking these sours, and others I canned, with friends and family when we return Iowa for the fourth of July holiday weekend.

Happy father's day to all the Father's and father figures out there!

Cheers!

It was a kettle sour long weekend! If you know kettle sours, you know it's a 2-3 day ordeal. I have yet to successfully brew a kettle sour that I'm happy with, but I think this time 🀞it will be different!
As some may know, we're in a drought here in Denver and under strict water restrictions. I do my best to conserve where I can. In the video you'll see my beer chilling from boiling to 100Β°ish degrees. From there my glycol chiller gets it to the temp it needs to be in the fermenter before pitching.
The waste water, water to cool the boiling wort, is transferred to my garden hose where I fill up my rain barrel, or if that's full, I water the lawn.
All and all, it was a good brew weekend, looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. Hope everyone had a blessed memorial weekend!

Still drinking my "Hoppy Times" Lager! Definitely making this beer again, maybe switch up the Czech hops I used with some Dolcita! Enjoying this beauty out of my glassware from my NJ days! Definitely miss those big city vibes. Cheers!

Alright, don't hate on me for the clingy bubbles (dirty glass). I hand wash all my glasses by hand because they're frag-i-le πŸ˜‚. But this hazy IPA has to be the best one I've ever had! Not brewed, had! This thing is excellent πŸ‘ŒπŸ’―. I used NE Hazy yeast from and wow, it did not disappoint!

It's like an orange crush creamsicle...I don't even know what that is, but if I had to guess, it's this! Not sweet, no bitterness, and finishes with the perfect amount of dryness. Would love to having this on a nice summer day!

I'm now a fully converted person... probably not, but damn, this is good!

Want to try it out, book our BnB and try it for free! Forewarning, our guests always crush the IPA kegs!

Solera Saison, batch 2 coming out of the barrel! Well 5 gallons of this 15 gallon barrel.

B1 is now a year old and the strong bourbon notes that were once there have mellowed out into something really special!

You won't see this on tap in BBnB, but if you're staying with us and want to give it a try, let me know! I love talking with fellow beer enthusiasts!
