We need to take over our feed for a moment for something serious. One of the things we love about our beer garden and our Diamond Spring Brewery family is that so many people gather here to do incredible things for our community.

You may not know that once a month a group meets here to connect and educate about living kidney donorship. Not only can recipients connect here in a safer open-air setting, but the heart of the group's work is finding matches and saving more lives.

Now, when someone in our community needs our help, the DSBC family rises to action again and again. And today, we are asking for a miracle, a hero, and a champion out there willing to help our friend Karen.

needs a living kidney donor to save her life. If you've never heard of a living kidney donor, please do a quick Google search to learn more. It's an amazing process that allows a living patient to donate, which means the kidney is immediately functioning for the recipient and provides an organ that lasts significantly longer than a deceased-donor kidney. The process can eliminate long wait times and the need for dialysis, which has it's own set of risk and complications like impacted cardiovascular health for patients while they wait for a transplant.

Many people are eligible to be a donor and you do not need to be an exact genetic match. Please help spread the word for Karen, repost and share with family and friends so we can help her find her donor as soon as possible!

We had a lot of posts this week about Memorial Day weekend, but let us not forget the most important part of this weekend, remembering and honoring those who lost their lives while serving our country and their families who mourn their loss today. Thank you for your service.

Remember, if you are a veteran and want to pour one out for a friend today, many of our customers have pre-bought your drinks on the pour it forward wall. Please come and redeem one paid for by someone in our community.

After the Denville Memorial Day Procession at 10am today makes it's way down Broadway in front of the brewery and to the cemetery, we will open with special hours from 12 PM through 6 PM. We have food available from the that you can enjoy in the beer garden.
