Passionate beliefs are fine, but do not let them blind you to the humanity of the people around you.

Turn off the commentary, step outside, and look for the quiet good happening every.single.day.

You will find it everywhere.

In a divided world- its easy to loose sight of the things that truly matter. Most people are good and kind. Lets hold truth to that.

These kids right here, spent a good portion of their summer days in the barn with me. Happy. Content. Playing. Working....

These kids right here, spent a good portion of their summer days in the barn with me.

Happy. Content. Playing. Working. Cleaning. Playing.

Did I mention HAPPY?

They built forts, played doctor, cleaning calf pens, walked and played with calves, searched for new kitties, biked, got dirty and tired.

They helped me immensely and also helped eachother.

They have made me so proud this summer and id be lying if I said I wasn't sad about the older kids headed back to school tomorrow.

The best part of what I do is being able to spend everyday with these kids. I wouldn't trade the work, sweat and tears in this business for anything.

The kids did great at our County 4h show in Barton yesterday.

No big wins but thats okay. Watching them all support eachother and help eachother makes it all worthwhile.

A huge thank you to the parents. They are a huge part it making this happen for the kids. Supplying the food, showing up to help where help is needed.

We are lucky to have such a wonderful group. Friends that are like family. Thats what its all about.

So glad we made it to Lamoille County with these kids. It was a great starter fair for them.

There is nothing quite like watching these kids grow. From taking on new projects to running their own meetings, seeing their confidence skyrocket is the absolute best part of this job.

They are learning what hard work really means, finding their voices through public speaking, and building character every step of the way.

Sheena Brown, a fourth-generation dairy farmer in Derby, revived her family's hilltop farm, Skyline Holsteins, in 2015 after the herd was sold a dozen years earlier.

Now, she and her partner, Ben, are transitioning the farm to organic, hoping this will create a more sustainable future for the next generation.
