11 Years of true grit.

For years, it was about surviving the daily grind. But lately, things have truly feel like they are shifting into alignment.

Crossing into our 11th year alongside our official milestone of becoming a certified organic dairy farm feels like the ultimate confirmation that the hard work is and will pay off.

We aren't just keeping a legacy alive for the next generation; we are actively building a sustainable, resilient future for our boys and our community.

Whether it's shipping our quality milk, stocking the self-serve farm store, or leading the next generation in 4-H, the foundation is finally rock solid.

To Ben, our boys, our mentors, and every neighbor who has stopped by the farm stand or supported us along the way—thank you. The groundwork is laid, the path is clear, and the best chapters for Skyline Holsteins are still ahead.

To our valued customers.

I apologize for the lack of raw milk supply in the store today and throughout this past weekend. We have been very busy helping prepare for a wedding that happened here on the farm- for our very best friends.

We haven't had jars or time to restock things in the store and we are very sorry.

Tomorrow is a new day, however- and we will have our lives back together then.

Thank you for understanding.

Trying to iron out a schedule for our Over the Moo-N 4h club for this upcoming year. My 4-H group would like to expand their experience with the farming culture in different areas of farming.

We have created a “bucket list” of farms we would like to visit: We need your help making this happen!

- someone who pasteurizes their own milk
-makes soaps or other dairy related products
-beef farm
- goat farm
-sheep farm
-chicken farm
-veggie farm
-rotary parlor
-robot parlor
Or if you have any other suggestions........
Etc.

The Big E barracks has come and gone for us.

What an experience- to say the least!

From the walks, to the Moses Dorms, to the bunk beds, to the bathrooms, to the food, to all the people. Wow! 🤣

My favorite part was watching these girls come out of their shells. They got the be themselves, they got to be goofy and silly. They worked hard and had fun too.

We are already trying to plan our next showcase exibit and can't wait to come back.

Today we are headed off to the BiG E to represent our Over the Moo-N 4H club and Vermont 4H. Our trip looks alittle different than most 4Hers though, as we are not bringing any livestock with us- instead we are bringing snails and turtle awareness!

The two projects that will be presented include:

🌱🐌 “Snailed It!” — An Action Exhibit demonstrating the Seed Snail Method, a creative, space-saving way to start a garden. Presented by Piper Simoneau, Leah Brown and Hannah Birch.

🐢 “Yield for Turtles” — An Illustrated Talk teaching others about turtles, road safety, and how we can help protect them. Presented by Harlow Converse.

The best part of being their leader is watching these kids take what they have learned and have the confidence to teach it to others.

I am proud of these kiddos, to say the least. I hope they have a wonderful time showing everyone what Vermont 4H is all about! 🍀 🍀

🪴FREE HOUSEPLANTS 🪴

As the summer sun winds down and the crisp autumn air moves in, it is time to pack up our community houseplant share for the winter.

Unfortunately with winter coming- the stand needs to come down as it will just be in the way and unsafe with the milkhouse heater. I did however have alot of fun with this and got some pretty cool house plants in return. My goal was to draw the community in- not to make money, but to make connections. It was for my own good and happiness and I think for it being the first year- it was successful.

Please share with me you thoughts about this plant share? Did you like it? Should we bring it back in the spring? What would could we do differently?

All plants left on the shelf are FREE!! PLEASE TAKE THEM as I may get kicked out if I bring them home! 🤣🤣🤣

More than anything, these past few days at the Vermont's Orleans County Fair showcased the true power of family, teamwork, and unmatched dedication.

The absolute highlight of this experience was watching our kids put their skills to the test. The persistence and showmanship displayed by these young handlers—from the youngest pee-wees to the senior exhibitors—was nothing short of inspiring.

An event like this takes a village, and we are so grateful for the hard work and passion of everyone involved.

I am feeling very grateful to be the leader in the Over the Moo-N 4H club. These kids and their families are the best and I couldn't do it without their help.

True competence—the kind they will need to thrive as adults—isn’t born in a friction-free environment.

It’s built in the dirt, in the struggle, and in the moments where they realize they can handle hard things.

It's Simple, but not easy.

That is the reality of stepping back and letting our kids grow into capable, resilient adults.
