I wanted to let everyone know that Miss Lucy has tried everything possible to find a new location for the food shelf. The Duty Free building that she was hoping to move into fell through. The other issue is that we just don’t have the financial resources to feed the community due to the lack of grants or donations to support an entire food shelf infrastructure anymore.

Our Food Shelf has been officially suspended and the food bank has been notified. We hope that we will be able to reopen someday at our Cabot property but infrastructure will need to be upgraded before that is possible and financial resources found.

We have to move all of our things out of the Holland location by the end of the month and all remaining food will be distributed to other food shelves in the area. Thank you for your support within the community and we have been proud to serve your needs for all these years. Chief Stevens

There will be no Food Distributions at the Holland School Location after July 31st. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Our current lease is up in September and won't be renewed.

We would direct you to the VT Foodbank or recommend that you search for the closest food shelf to your location for future needs after July.

We are currently looking into options moving forward or deciding to close down our operation permanently due to the lack of donations, state, and federal funding for food programs. As you are well aware, food prices and operating expenses are rising while funding sources are being cut.

I would recommend that you check this site periodically for updates. Thank you and it has been a pleasure serving the communities needs over the last several years.
