Recently checked out Swamp Cat Brewing Company in Fort Myers. Originally built in the 1950s as a small church, the space has housed several businesses including an open market and print shop. The brewery owners did a great job preserving the original charm in all the right ways. The open-air layout and mix of indoor and outdoor seating make it an easy spot to hang. .
I tried most of the beers on tap via dealer’s choice. Great lineup of beers with the standouts being the Pumpkin Porter, Neapolitan Stout, and a crisp, easy-drinking Pale Ale. They also offer a variety of other beverages including wine, kombucha and several NA options..
Feeling hungry? The two pop-up kitchens on site make grabbing food a breeze. The Bitchin Burger from Dont Give Up Foodtruck was 💯 .
If you’re around Fort Myers, give them a look - as nothing beats a good beer in a space with character!.

What. A. Day..
Killer weather. Killer crowd. One hell of a lineup of homebrewers!.
Baby Firefly & Captain Sully straight-up murdered it at with our Rob Zombie–inspired Brewhouse of 1000 Beers theme. 💀🍻. The SULLYBREW crew and new BREWCREW fam SHOWED UP HUGE — your energy and support helped us snag 1st Place – People’s Choice! 🏆.
While the win was BADASS, the true prize was the realtime feedback, laughs, and connections made sharing beers with damn good people..
Massive props to EVERY homebrewer who brought their A-game — and a huge shoutout to the Smoke In The Valley team and BAD SONS Beer Co. for throwing one hell of an event. 🍺.

Rain or shine, the 2025 Smoke In The Valley Brewer’s Ball was an absolute BLAST! 20+ home brewers, 60+ beers/ciders/meads, 400+ guests—raising funds for Seymour CARES and showing major love for the CT homebrew scene!.
Huge props to all the brewers—your creativity was next-level. Big thanks to Justin, Derek, the SITV crew, and BAD SONS Beer Co. for hosting such a killer event..
It was my first time pouring for this event — and for a crowd this size … FIVE taps going nonstop! Real-time feedback was priceless—and y’all drank every drop. Time to brew more! .
Taking home 4th place made it even sweeter! We appreciate everyone for showing SULLYBREW some ❤️..

Still in awe after winning the People’s Choice Award at ARMADA BREWING So You Think You Can Brew? 4! Homebrew competition. Huge shoutout to John and his team for running such an incredible event. The lineup of beers, ciders, and meads was seriously impressive. So grateful to everyone who came out to support this AMAZING group of homebrewers!

Add to the “if I were to open a brewery, this would be it” list. A very comfortable taproom, semi private party room, and most importantly a tap list filled with something for everyone. I appreciated the mix of classic styles and experimental beers. The Jalapeño Honey Blonde was extremely balanced - which usually doesn’t happen when brewing with peppers. The dealer’s choice flight and blind pours were another hit - I enjoyed Like A Lager (Kölsch), The Vanilla Coffee Pot Porter & IPA for the West of Us (WestCoast IPA). Beertender did a great job!! Check them out.

Popped into (via Lyft) and ended up tasting everything 🤪 love this brewery. Lagers, Stouts, Sours, IPAs, Belgians … something for everyone. The bar staff was A+++. They dropped some history and more importantly beer deets as well as other local places to hit up. All beers were delish, but the Blood Orange Wit, G-Saison and Internet Gold were A+++. Want to add another + order the Invisible Ninja - 10% Imperial Stout. Great staff, vibe and music. Add this to the list of “I wish this my local brewer”.

located in the Winter Garden, Florida. Plenty of space inside and out to enjoy a great selection of tasty beers - my favorites were Space Cowboi (Hazy Double New England) & Cloud Chaser (Hefeweizen).

We ventured up to Connecticut’s “quiet corner” and stopped in at in Woodstock, CT. As we made our way up the long winding gravel driveway we knew we were in for a treat. Each turn provided a new view - Rolling hills, fields of produce, an apple orchard and then the farmhouse/taproom off in the distance. The grounds are impressive..
Unlike flagship location which offers about 50 different beers on tap, the farm location is focused on ciders and recently added farm exclusive versions of their beers. They had 8 different options to choose from..
The staff was friendly and did a nice job explaining the various Ciders & Beers. Check them out!.
