I connected with .inc another Sicilian-American first generation like myself who wrote and released her song on MY BIRTHDAY 5/29. I'm always listening to Italian songs I grew up with. Letting my kids listen to it as well is important to me. It's their culture, their upbringing, their past ,present and future, songs their loved ones enjoyed who are no longer present with us- and would have loved them endlessly. I know those who know my Nonno( grandfather) made Italian lemon granita (slush) and those who had it know it's OUT OF THIS WORLD. My uncle still makes it and again, my kids ENJOY it- I know with every taste of that lemon slush it's made with love and I get to tell them stories of my Nonno, my Nonna(grandmother) and their journey to America. They didn't know a single word of English, made the journey like half of our family, worked hard, built a business or two with little education. They always amaze me, always!!! They have taught me that no matter WHAT you put your mind to, you can achieve ANYTHING with a good heart and work ethic.

I LOVE .inc is going to have MORE songs come out like this and even though I've only met her online, I'm so proud !!!! She is bringing this music forward for us and our children!! You rock girl! 🍋
