If you've never been to Uptown Ankeny Farmers Market, you're missing out! Vendors are under two of these giant pavilions so you can enjoy summer markets in the shade, and rain or shine! Find us in the middle aisle of the 1st St side pavilion every Saturday from eight to noon. We'll be there tomorrow morning! This week we'll have cookie bars in chocolate chip and lemon, and cinnamon rolls in original, maple, and Dutch letter flavor. Plus our delicious salsa and jam. Come on out and say hi!

Did you know we take requests? We had two this last market - one for our lemon cookie bars, and one for chocolate chip bars. So guess what's on the menu this week! The theme this week is summer treats! We'll be enjoying the cooler morning weather at Uptown Ankeny Farmers Market tomorrow (7/25) from eight to noon. Come say hi and get your goodies! Did you know that Colorado grows peaches?! I learned that when Kelly got me to try my first Colorado peach. They are delicious! They're grown on the western slope in a one of a kind microclimate where warm days/cool nights and the regions geographic features help the fruit develop more sugar and juice. They're practically perfect! Kelly's mom was from Colorado, so it's a family tradition to feast on these tasty peaches throughout their short season. I'm so glad to join this tradition! We got our first small batch of peaches so we've made our first batch of peach salsa. Due to our hot/dry weather the peppers were HOT and we have an accidental new flavor - Spicy Peach! It's heat with a touch of sweet and we can't wait to share it with you. Come try it at Uptown Ankeny Farmers Market this Saturday! More peach goodies to come when we get our boxes in! We're planning jam, more salsa, and some tasty baked goods!

Reminder! No Ankeny Market this week - not just us, there's no market because Summerfest is happening! We're enjoying some time off. Here we are nerding out at the Science Center! Check out the root system on that native plant! Baby for scale and because he's cute.

Salsa is a great snack - whether your dad is more of a spicy or mild guy, we've got you covered. We're bringing our most loved goodies to market this week. Pecan rolls, cinnamon rolls, brownies, and cherry almond bars will all be up for grabs, so get them while they last! There's no better way to spend your Saturday morning. See you there!
