Finally home and unpacked from our weekend in Wisconsin! We traveled to Blue River to participate in the Chiasson Smoke rib competition. What a great local comp with even better people! We left Friday morning, taking our time and stopping at a few places on the way up, finally making it to our cabin in Woodman village(population 113) we had a relaxing evening by the fire and just listening to the sounds of nature. Saturday morning we started at 6am, catching an absolutely stunning sunrise! This competition we split off into 2 teams (bbq pit bros and JUGS), seeing if Heather could keep her streak of beating Jordan in ribs! But as you can tell from the pictures Jordan finished 2nd, while Heather walked away with a 6th place finish(.5 away from tieing for 5th) out of 18 teams! Which is pretty impressive for her 3rd time cooking solo and 1st time on a barrel! Today we slept in a bit and made the trek home, making a stop at the field of dreams movie site! We had a fantastic weekend away and was definitely a good reset for us before we finish the final leg of the season!! As always thank you to our amazing sponsors!
