We can't thank you enough for all of the support in the last few weeks, and for the crazy crazy final open night on Saturday. We look forward to continuing to be a part of this incredible community.

We are in and out of the space this week, packing up and cleaning and making it ready for its new owners. They take possession on Tuesday the 19th. AND WE STILL HAVE SOME WINE .... that we are selling at crazy, 50% off, below-cost, prices.

The list of wine is below ... and it shows our cost, the list price, and what the price will be for anyone who comes an' gets it this weekend. The hitch: we are not open for classic retail. We will be there working this weekend, so stop by then OR give Richard a call at 206-227-6708 to arrange a pickup.

LAST CALL!!

This is it friends, our last week as our own peculiar little restaurant/bar/wine shop/specialty food store/community place/Afternoon Tea House. We love you and will miss being with you, celebrating with you, and hosting you.

A few details:

>>> Open regular hours WED, TH, FR, SAT

>>> PLEASE USE YOUR GIFT CARDS.

>>> WE HAVE SOME NEW TINNED FISH -- but it's still 25% off. The delicious FANGST Greenland Halibut (so .. yeah, support Greenland!), smoked trout, and equally awesome smoked salmon PLUS some really cool Italian Tuna in Olive Oil.

>>> There will be a wine tasting THURSDAY @ 6 PM

>>> TEA Reservations for May 9th are SOLD OUT

>>> CLOSING CEREMONY begins officially at 8 PM SATURDAY MAY 9.

Despite what Tako the Octopus says in the graphic below, there will be a limited (but AWESOME) menu of food, including the Vegan Sloppy Joe and the Kitchen Witch's amazing STEAK SANDWICH.

There will also be FREE POPCORN and olives and almonds and probably other s**t because we all will be sad but very happy to be with you.

Counting Down the Tea Times
Last Chance for Brunch!

Hello friends!!

As we count down the days until our Closing Ceremony, we still have Tea Times available both this week and next. Whether it's for Seasonal Spring Tea, something more on the PNW (smoked salmon) side, or even a vegan or gluten-free celebration, we're there and serving it up through May 9. THIS THURSDAY @ 6 WINE TASTING
"Next-to-Last" edition -- a fun change up on the starting sparkler, a French white delight, and two very different reds: Oregon Gamay and a classic Bordeaux. Dinner's available of course, as well as our usual array of snacks and goodies.

SUNDAY BRUNCH = FREE MIMOSAS
This Sunday May 3 will be our last -- and your last chance to enjoy tasty homemade Hollandaise, mushroom toast, or those incredible beef-fat-fried Jo-Jos. And of course, a free orange mimosa is available with every brunch order!

SAD REMINDER
Our last day at Marina Mercantile will be May 9, the day before Mother's day. We are serving Spring Tea in the afternoon, hosting a private Celebration of Life from 4-7 (how fitting!), and then will host our very own "Closing Ceremonies" party from 8 PM May 9 until it's over.

In the meantime, we're still having fun, enjoying your company, and keeping everyone on staff busy. This week's no different!!

SURPRISE EVENT TONIGHT!!
Zooma Bella + Short Film Premiere

We don't usually send two emails in one week -- in fact I don't think we ever have -- but this is special:

Our very own JOEY KLINE and crack musical unit ZOOMA BELLA will be gracing us tonight @ 6 PM with a surprise appearance -- AND the premiere of 'Atsa Nice!, Avery Akins' short film about the band.

This was originally scheduled elsewhere and had to move and we are VERY HAPPY to host -- remember 6 PM. $10 cover.

LIVE MUSIC + SHORT FILM FRIDAY @ 6 PM

Tomorrow April 24 we are thrilled to be hosting everyone's favorites ZOOMA BELLA (w/Joey Kline, Cathy Sorbo, and Bruce Laven) AND the debut of the documentary short "ATSA NICE" by Avery Akins.

This was originally scheduled elsewhere but had to move at the last minute and we could not be more happy!!!! Come and see us -- $10 Cover.

Full food/wine/cocktail/etc menu available all evening.

This will be the last music event at the Merc and it could not be more fitting than to have our dear friend and original manager Joey and the crew tearing it up. 🩷🧡💛💚🩵💜

As you know, we are STILL HERE AND FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS, with tea, tastings, cocktails and dinner, and everything on sale. And we'd love to see you because the countdown is now official:

MORE LIBRARY REDS -- Big, Delicious Deep Wines from Italy and California
We'll start with our now standard French bubbly, slip in a fun Spring Verdejo, and then jump straight in to some deep reds w/loads of age.

SUNDAY BRUNCH = FREE MIMOSAS
That's right -- only two more Sundays left for our homemade hollandaise on eggs benedict, mushroom toast, hanger steak and eggs, sheep's milk yogurt granola parfait, cinnamon rolls and more... and every main dish brunch order can have an orange-juice mimosa on the house!

SPRING TEA COUNTDOWN
Only three weeks left to join us for Spring Tea -- with or without your Mom! We had a full house on Sunday, and it was, as always, lovely. We still have plenty of openings between now and May 9 though, including this week. Reserve yours here.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Next, you say?

Well, we have some catching up to do -- with each other, with family, with volunteer commitments.

BUT ... we WILL still have a business license, the Marina Mercantile name (and Tako the World's Happiest Octopus as our mascot), and, most important, our relationships: with you, and with some amazing distributors and makers of delicious and delightful things.

Here are some things we are thinking about:

-- Cheese and Charcuterie Buying Clubs, including our well-known ability to bring you Cougar Gold for less than anyone else West of Pullman

-- Continued online retailing of our carefully curated and extra delicious selection of Tinned Fish, maybe even with local pickup or delivery

-- Partnering with one of our local friends to help continue the Marina Mercantile Wine Club (we won't have a liquor license, but, you know, we know a guy ....)

-- Maybe a pop-up tea event now and then with the right partner

-- Tako-branded merchandise and clothing

-- Some special holiday collections

We are eager to hear YOUR thoughts about this, what you would find valuable/special/a treat you can't otherwise get ... so come in and talk to us, shoot as an email to [email protected].
