Peace Tree's Des Moines Branch is nestled in Des Moines, Iowa's vibrant Historic East Village neighborhood. We opened the doors of our renovated Quonset hut in January 2017, and have been serving up our award-winning brews here ever since! Peace Tree was one of Iowa's first packaging craft breweries, and the first 100% woman-owned brewery in the state. Our Founder Megan McKay is a Knoxville, Iowa
native who has made it her mission to bring great beer, art, and events to her hometown. Our brewery and original Knoxville taproom were built in 2009 in an old Nash Rambler dealership that today offers a casual, relaxed atmosphere where you can gather anytime of the year—inside or out. Stop by the Des Moines Branch to sip our gold medal-winning beers, Blonde Fatale and Get a Little Hazy. Or enjoy our full line up of flagship beers including Red Rambler, Slightly Blonde, Lake Loop, East Village, or Grapefruit Groove. We have those too. There’s always something new on tap! On any given day you’ll find a tap-room only release such as Keg of Cookies brewed for the Iowa State Fair, our Cosmic Explorer Hazy IPA, or our brightly-colored Raspberry Sour. Want to get our craft beer or old-fashioned root beer to go? Grab a growler, a keg, a 6-pack, or a single. Looking for some Peace Tree merch or a gift card? We’ve got that too. In the warmer months, we host events, live music, and food trucks that you and your friends can enjoy from inside the taproom or outside in the beer garden. We’re a taproom—not a restaurant—which means we don’t offer a full menu of food, but instead serve a variety of snacks, including many from local and Iowa-based businesses. Looking for information on our original taproom, which is located at 107 W. Main Street in Knoxville, Iowa? Find it here: www.facebook.com/PeaceTreeTaproom.
