Eh when it rains, it pours I guess?
Two weeks ago we took the truck in to get checked out because it was shuttering when I got to about 75 mph (don’t judge, I drive fast lol). Full tune up. Runs perfect. Happy camper.

Couple days later we get this message. Cool…so now the truck is incapacitated until we get it to the dealership on the 20th. Thank goodness we have two other cars, one that is perfectly fine **banging on wood** & one that all the sensors are out but is perfect otherwise.

I like to think that I’m heading in the right direction when everything starts feeling like a blockade. All I know is we just gotta keep chugging along!!

So remember this little escape artist from last Monday?? Well she has now given us more to worry about. Apparently she landed a lot harder on the driveway than we originally suspected.
She’s been acting fine, just dropping her wing a bit. Still eating, drinking, and being a peacock.

Yesterday I went to check out why she was drooping and I found an exposed bone. Her elbow has protruded through her skin.
We have gotten some advice from more experienced friends and a friend in the animal medical field.

Our first priority is to never let her suffer. Since she’s still doing all the peacock things I think it’s possible that she could make it through this. My biggest concern is what happens with this exposed bone.

For now, antibiotics, electrolytes, & keeping it clean is the care plan until we get a better understand about how to help her.
At this point, it’s not looking very promising without spending thousands for surgical procedures that just aren’t in budget. Euthanasia may be the only option.

Emily is at Frisco Farmhouse Market this morning with a BUNCH of her favorite vendors! 8-2!! Christopher is at Arnold Farmers Market from 8-12! He does not have samples. And neither of us have Gooey Butter Pecan or Salted Caramel Pecan.
