And there’s a place for you in this work.

Everyone deserves fresh food.

At the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, our chefs use fresh food from local sources to create nourishing meals for our guests. That includes seasonal produce grown right here in Detroit at our own Earthworks Urban Farm.

With creativity and care, fresh ingredients become meals shared with dignity and hospitality — nourishing our neighbors while strengthening our local food community.

It was a joy to host the Earthworks Urban Farm Meldrum Fresh Market on Friday! Even Br. Richard came out to see what fresh fruits and vegetables there were for sale. All the proceeds from these markets go to support the mission of Earthworks.

While the pop-up market happens once a month, each week there is the Meldrum Fresh Market at Earthworks Urban Farm on Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Market is just around the corner from the Solanus Casey Center. We hope you'll join us at 1264 Meldrum St. Detroit, MI 48207.

We had a great group from Henry Ford Health Warren Mission Team volunteering on Friday at Earthworks! They were working on the farm harvesting tomatoes and green beans.
