Ahoy!
If it’s been a little quiet on deck lately, it’s because we’ve been below deck plotting our biggest adventure yet. ⚓️
For over seven years, Dead Isla has been doing tiki together one way or another, either at a bar together or popping up around Detroit, Indiana, Florida, Tennessee and various other ports. We’ve poured a lot into bringing our version of tiki beyond the grave to life, and while popups are a blast, they’ve always been a stepping stone toward something bigger, more immersive, transportive, and truly ours.
We’re ready to say out loud that we’re actively working on opening a brick-and-mortar tiki bar in the Detroit area. This has been the dream from the start. A permanent home port. A space built from the ground up where we can control every detail from the mood, the music, the mugs and the fog… We’re still in the early stages but our focus is clear, build the forever space.
We’ll have some popup dates in Detroit and beyond coming soon. We’re not disappearing, but the horizon line is locked in.
