This simple tent trellis planted with sugar snap peas and nasturtiums is beautiful and edible—my kind of hideaway.

For the last 11 years we’ve been flying by the seat of our pants never really knowing when our time will be up in this space. It has been hard to plan out our farm but we decided to just go with the flow and deeply listen to the environment. The environment has changed a lot over the last 11 years. Some changes for the good and some changes that are not so good.
This year we are refocusing and rededicating ourselves to our central mission to work on food security in the city of Detroit. We also support the Food Sovereignty Movement throughout Detroit and beyond.
We also support the small food and plant based businesses that are sprouting up in our community. We are also developing products ourselves and will unveil them in the next year.
Thank you for looking in on us if you’d like to join us we are in the garden every Thursday 3:30-6pm and Saturdays 12 to 2pm every week for the last 11 years. From to time to time we have to miss those days but that is truly rare. You can contact us here on Facebook an in the real world at 1519 MLK Blvd next to the church.
