We had 261 total votes and y’all helped us choose the next Vinyl Tasting experience theme: the Misdemeanor herself, Missy Elliot.

Missy gave the culture FIRE through and through. She might be rapper, singing, giving us other-worldly, zany music video concepts, costumes and choreography. Don’t get us started on the collabs and deep cuts on the hip-hop and r&b scene since she started in mid 90s.

We are excited to bring y’all that same fire, but on a plate. Bringing Missy Elliot to the table as well celebrate four years of bring people together is such a blessing.

Missy seems to be the crowd favorite. We respect it, she’s an icon!

Whitney & Bobby are a close second, but we didn’t know folks do not mess with Bobby like that! Ppl are asking for a Whitney-only VT situation. We learned something new, for sure 😂

At this point Kanye is a dub with only 20% of the overall vote 🫠 we still love em though!

We might wrap up voting early because the energy is clearly in Missy’s favor. Stay tuned for the official announcement!✌🏽

As Women’s History Month closes out, we wanted to take a pause to express deep gratitude for the women whose influence has shaped not only the culinary world, but our own journeys within it.

Their impact lives far beyond accolades or titles. It shows up in how we think about food, how we honor culture, and how we understand the responsibility that comes with feeding people.

To the Vinyl Tasting community, from guests who were new to this and those who are true to this, it was truly a pleasure to host you in celebration of the love, music, and soul ties reflected in this experience.

Honoring the subdued and moody chords and keys woven through rich arrangements, paired with powerful mezzo soprano vocals and soulful falsettos, and bringing that feeling to life on a plate was something we knew we had to do.

The legacy these artists leave behind continues to inspire how we gather, listen, taste, and connect. We are grateful you shared this special night with us. Cheers til next time 🥂
