If you know me (Elisa) you know that my customers are my friends. Most of the people in the w**e community that I know, including me, are still reeling from the news of Tommy York’s death. What an incredible human. I’m really at a loss to express myself here. Thank you, Tommy, for what you built in York. There’s truly no other place like it. The evolution of the place from Big 10, to Morgan & York, to York Food + Drink has been such a special thing to witness and be a part of in our way. I’ve been reflecting on life and death these past few days and keep coming back to the thought of connection and love and community. Tommy did this better than anyone I have ever met, and he did it naturally. While our businesses are different tiers of the system, I can only hope to uphold these same values in our work every day.
