Have y’all ever been so ready for Thanksgiving? Tomorrow is the big day for our pie sale! We will be at Eastern Market from 10am-3pm in Shed 3 with our Lemon Butta, Salted Caramel Walnut Lemon Buttta and Peach Cobbler Cake. Did you catch all the details on Fox 2 News 🗞️? So here are all of the details on how to get your Thanksgiving Pies and cakes below ⬇️ 👇🏾

Date: Tuesday November 26th, 2024 (one day only, pies will not be available after 11/26)

Location: “Eastern Market” Shed 3 Holiday Market (2968 Russell Street Detroit, Michigan 48207)

Time: 10am-3pm or until sold out. (first come, first serve)

Urgent Update Alert 🚨: There is truly a season for everything and our short term bakery is up 💔 and we are officially preparing to move 📦 out and move into our tiny house 🏡 bakery! Our tiny house bakery is currently under 🚧 construction and we will be providing some videos really soon! In the meantime, our last day in the bakery will be during Memorial Day weekend and we are having a huge bake sale next Saturday to raise additional funds for our Tiny home bakery! All whole pies go down to $27 when you purchase 2 or more and all minis and slices are $10 as well as cake slices. We can’t wait to see your smiling face next Saturday for our blowout bake sale fundraiser! For the next two weekends, our bakery will be only open on Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm. In the meantime here is a sneak peak at some places that you can catch us next:

It’s a big weekend at the butta bakery! Come join us for sweets & crafts this Sunday 3/24/24 with & while we make some cool Arts & Crafts and give away some sweet treats! Also, we had a ton of people ask about our chocolate 🍫 silk pie last week so this week we made silk chocolate pie minis and a ton more of our Peach 🍑 Cobbler Cake in the bakery! This weekend we will be open from 11am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday. See what’s happening for our free craft day below ⬇️

Here’s a full breakdown of arts, crafts and sweets at the bakery this Sunday! At 11:30am there will be a workshop from Picasso Kids and at 1pm there will be a workshop from Nature’s Playhouse. Long Post Alert 🚨 This family photo was taken in my bakery last week and I just couldn’t be more grateful for all of the love we have received in our new little bake shop from friends, family, loyal butta pie eaters and new pie eaters who have become family. I appreciate all the folks who come in the shop and literally say “I have been eating these pies since eastern market and others who say, “I was just riding by and saw a new store”. Either way, you are appreciated and I can’t thank you enough. A lot of folks say “wow you are a mom with kids and you still own a bakery just wow”. I want to thank God for blessing me with the support system to be able to juggle motherhood and entrepreneurship. I also want to normalize the fact that being a mom doesn’t mean that your world 🌎 has to end. We as moms are stronger than we know and more resourceful than we know. When I opened my bakery it wasn’t just about a bakery, it being able to have a space where I could not only make my grandads desserts but to provide a community space where I could teach my classes. Classes on entrepreneurship and baking. Our little bakery will be open again this week Thursday 11am-6pm, Friday 11am-6pm - Saturday 11am-4pm, and closed for New Years Eve and New Years Day. 🙏🏽 📍23225 Woodward Avenue Ferndale MI 48220

Never thought I’d see the day that a Lush Yummies bakery would actually be a reality. To this very moment, I still feel a “pinch me” feeling. I was so afraid of failure that I allowed it to stop me from trusting what God had for me. I must admit too, somehow the wholesale bakery we had in Eastern Market often made me complacent… but having a store has a funny way of giving you an extra push to get things done! I thank God for continuing to make a way for me to grow my business and I promise to bring y’all the best I have. My bakery operates on a limited schedule, so we are open to the public every Thursday through Sunday. We open at 11am and I can’t wait to see your smiling faces. New Fan Favorite 🚨 Alert: Not sure when this happened, but our new “SWEET POTATO & SPADES PIE” has quickly climbed the charts as one of the most liked items on our menu! This delicious pies was one of my grandads favorites and he would always make a few of them and pull out his card deck because he knew he was getting ready to whoop some A$& with his hand! This pie is not too sweet with sweet potatoes, butter and cinnamon baked together while being topped with our house made whipped cream, brown sugar and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Man I love you guys so much and all of the support ❤️. I will be sharing my story on FOX 2 News in the morning about my new bakery adventure opening December 2nd in Ferndale and about our Thanksgiving Pop-Up bakery in Downtown Detroit this Saturday at 2345 Cass Avenue Detroit MI from 8am-4pm. Welp My Secret 🤐 Is Out! You are looking at the newest team member to the “Ford Fund” 🚙 which is the philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company and the first thing I get to do is give away 5k to a startup in Detroit 🙌🏾 Wow!

I am the *NEW Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Specialist on Fords corporate team and my task are to manage our community partners and programs that provide resources and grants to amazing entrepreneurs through funding provided by “The Ford Fund”. Crazy thing is, I saw a short snippet about this new role to help the community at Ford, so I sent a FORD team member a message on (shout out to LinkedIn)and the next thing I knew, I was receiving an email asking me to interview!

I am overjoyed because not only do I get the opportunity to provide funding to entrepreneurs but I can truly make an impact in my community while still running Lush Yummies Pie Company! The 1st project that I am tasked with is giving away $5,000 on Wednesday September 27th from 12pm-4pm right here in Detroit! There will be a workshop on pitching and 5 to 7 attendees will be able to pitch their business on the spot! Registration is super easy and short! This past year I experienced my first ever high risk pregnancy from which our baby girl 👧🏽 was born. While being pregnant I was not able to work in the kitchen how I would have liked and if you know anything about the food industry, you know that staff shortages have been outrageous! Nevertheless, I worked as much as I could until almost 8 months into my pregnancy.

During my maternity break I had so much time to reflect on my goals and priorities in life. I realized that I wanted to not only help other entrepreneurs meet their goals but I wanted to be able to pivot my business in a way that if there were staffing issues that I could still maintain and manage it while being able to still live the life that I wanted to live.

So, I took on a corporate position that allows me to support a larger ecosystem of entrepreneurs while providing my expertise from my real world entrepreneurship experience. Now, I feel like I am on top of the world 🌎 with our new baby girl, helping entrepreneurs on a corporate level and still providing my grandfathers pies to folks in a major way! I can’t wait to tell you all about my new corporate role and our next major stop for Lush Yummies Pie Co, which is Arts Beats & Eats September 1st-4th booth 726!
