Still have lots of delicious baked goods and freshly picked vegetables on the stand today until 4:00pm! Don't go to Champaign or pay the Amish guy twice the price! 🤣🤣

No need to pretend you're Lewis & Clark and paddle up the mighty Sangamon to get here this weekend, friends! All roads are open! And just in time! I had several people tell me they were disappointed the rhubarb sugar loaf made with buttermilk and my own homegrown rhubarb sold out so quickly last Saturday (sorry, but not sorry) 🤣 so just for anyone who might have missed out...I doubled the batch for tomorrow! But don't you dilly dally around all morning and then blame me if you miss out! 🤣

New on the stand for tomorrow...LIMEADE Concentrate! I know some of you country folk like to mix my concentrates with your adult beverages (I hold no judgement) 🤣so you better come and get you some! Personally, I think it's better than the lemon, but I don't want to run down one of my best sellers! 🤣 I'll also have tomato jam! Delicious on meat loaf, pork chops, hamburgers, cornbread and your fingers!

As far as breads, I'm all about using the available summer fruit that's abundant this time of year! So I'll have strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry lemon sugar loaves! I KNOW!! 🤣

Oh yeah...and since we are a farm...I'll have vegetables too! Make sure you come out to the country tomorrow only, Saturday, August 22nd from 10a-4p. ❤

I can't let a little rain, falling timber, thunder, flooding, and threats of total destruction slow me down, friends...I've got PRODUCE that's ready! However, due to the very real threat of WCIA interrupting my morning sales with weather bulletins 🤣I'll be opening at NOON tomorrow when it looks like the coast with be clear! I'll have red, ripe tomatoes, green tomatoes, cucumbers, and just picked this evening green beans! Along with your favorite canned goods, tea & lemonades, I'll be serving up some summer, southern favorites like rhubarb sugar loaf made with buttermilk and my own homegrown rhubarb, green tomato, walnut, and chocolate chip cake, and apple zucchini bread! YUM YUM!! So slip on those galoshes and stop by the farm stand Saturday, August 15th, NOON-5 pm!

Happy weekend friends! You asked and I’m all ears! ☺Tomorrow’s new on the farm stand item is delicious Illini Extra Sweet corn salad! It is a-maize-ing! 😁OH MY COB you’re going to LOVE it! 😆But don’t wait until the last minute to come out, because as they say, EAR today and gone tomorrow! 🤣Also on the stand, along with all of our other homegrown deliciousness, is sweet vedalia onion relish! Slap it on your burgers, hot dogs, or brats this weekend for a tangy treat! Is anybody else ready for fall? Just for you... there will be pumpkin chocolate chip bread on the stand! What the husk, friends, 😅it’s going to be a delicious Saturday at the farm! 🥰

Happy Friday friends! It looks like a rainy weekend is in the forecast, so the farm stand will be closed until next Saturday, August 8th. No one claimed the customer appreciation prize, 😟so I'm just going to start doing some customer appreciation shout outs instead! Thank you to my high ole' school buddy Brent Burr for stopping by the stand and leaving a sweet note! Come back soon! Thank you to Lisa Schofield for always asking what she can do to help and being so supportive! Thank you to Chelsea Barger Moseley for the kind words and sweet hug last weekend! On the farm stand tomorrow...pickled okra, strawberry jalapenos, summertime dilly salad, and a real southern favorite...mustard pickles! I KNOW YOU GUYS!! EVERY WEEK something NEW & DELICIOUS!! But when you have cucumbers taking over your homestead, you have to kill those suckers and smother them in mustard! 🤣 Delicious as a side dish or on your hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats! The gardens are producing now friends, and we have been busy bees processing the harvest! New to the stand this week...It's A Real BIG Deal Dill Pickles, Granny's Own Cucumbers & Onions, Peter Piper's Pickled Peppers, Dill Pickle Relish, and my favorite...Hot & Sweet Pineapple & Jalapenos! To be honest, I'll probably have some forks on the stand because you'll want to eat them right out of the jar on the way home because they are THAT GOOD! Freshly picked and processed. No artificial colors, preservatives, or additives. It's all country my friends!🤣 Picture of daughter-in-law's homemade pizza with Rittenhouse Farms Pineapple & Jalapenos on top for added effect!
