Our dahlia season continues as the frost has held off. We know it’s coming but in the meantime we are enjoying the beauty of each bloom everyday brings us.

So this little love showed up one day at our farm. He’s quite a handful but mostly entertaining. He’s super friendly. We think he may have adopted us.

Holy moly the mother ship has landed. The last several years we’ve received an amazing potted scented geraniums for our friend, Roger Hastays Greenhouse & Flower Shop They grow the most awesome plants and Shirley is one of our favorite florist. We take our big gifted plant and baby it throughout the winter and in the early spring do a bunch of cuttings from it. Enough to fill several 50 foot row beds. It’s an amazing foliage. Give it a try and it smells heavenly.

Our wreath making workshops are live on our website. www.henningsonfarms.com. Register early as these classes fill up. Classic evergreen workshops are November 12th and November 14th, and we have a special grapevine wreath workshop December 6th. All classes include supplies, cozy warm workspace, holiday music to get you in the spirit along with hot cocoa and yummy treaties. Cost $79 per person.

What is your favorite foliage? As the season winds down we are using our mint- Apple mint is my favorite, scented geranium, Ageratum foliage, and nine bark (not show).

Our Dahlia season is still going strong. A little Lee’s Zesty, Southern Bell, Lee’s Sugar Rush, and Rhubarb and Custard. Doesn’t that just sound delish!
