Well, when you plant 150 tomato plants you end up with tomato’s forever, quite literally. Just wrapped up processing ~16lbs of diced tomato’s. Into the freeze dryer they go, once done they are shelf stable for 25 years🍅

Yes, we will have veggies through September, maybe longer if the frost holds out. Just hardening off the lettuce and we should have some in a few weeks!

This week on the farm flower boquets with hydrangeas. The sunflowers are still blooming and producing some amazing cut flowers. Soon pumpkins, winter squash and lettuce varieties will start to become available. Message to me set a pick up/ meet up for your weekly veggies and bouquets.

The garden is producing some amazing veggies. Tomatoes have started to come in along with tons of other veggies. The faces of Wicked Woofs were in full supervisor mode today helping during bean harvest.

What we have currently:
Kale
Green Onions
Yellow Swiss Chard
Bush beans (green, yellow, purple and dragons tongue) approx. 1.5 bushels
Peppers (hot and sweet)
Squash ( patty pan, Italian striped and black beauty)
Sunflower Bouquets

Growing all of these veggies I have to find creative ways to use the abundance or store it for future use. Tonight’s meal was steak/tofu stir fry (beans, cucumbers, peppers,zucchini and garlic all from the garden)

Having a harvest right freezer dryer has been amazing! I processed 36 lbs of zuchinni into 6qt size jars to store for 25 years to come this past weekend. It definitely wont last that long for this family with winter coming up soon.

We still have endless amounts a veggies available! Message me to get your produce for the week.
