We are a small ranch located in South Central Kansas specializing in raising and training Midsize and Mini Jersey milk cows for small farms and homesteads. It all started when we got our first milk cow, Dexter Corner Camilla. She was an excellent cow to learn on as she was far from perfect. She was fussy, messy, impatient... the perfect training cow for sure! Since then we have raised her beautifu
l calf, Daisy using what is called a calf share, and wow what a difference. We learned a lot from working with Camilla and our experience shows with Daisy. Daisy was a first fresher last year and was very easy to train to be both hand milked and then introduced to the milk machine with absolutely no difficulty at all. Blossom, our Junior Jersey (some call a micro mini) was born premature and unable to stand to Camilla and had to be bottle fed from day one. She has also grown into a beauty and will be ready to be trained in the stanchion to be hand or machine milked this year. We believe in a hands on operation. All of our cows are raised on their mother using a simple method called calf share. This gives the baby much needed love and nutrition from her dam as well as providing milk and that all wonderful cream for the home. We are proud members of the Miniature Jersey Herd Book and Registry. All of our cows will be registered with the Herd Book or with the International Miniature Cattle Breeds Registry or both.
