For centuries, the greatest thinkers have suggested the same thing: Happiness is found in helping others. There is no greater gift than that of giving of one's time and energy to help others, without expecting anything in return.

WHO wants to knit with PIG? I just learned about this breed that resembles a sheep. Mangalitsa is a rare breed of pig of Hungarian origin that has an unusual growth of curly hair over its body. The fleece can be black, or red, but is most commonly blond. 🤣🤣🤣
Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival
The full 2018 Vendor Locator Guide can now be downloaded from the Festival website at http://sheepandwool.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/2018-Vendor-Locator-Guide.pdf. This the version that contains the vendors listed three ways: by name, by location, and by category. It also contains a list of vendors from Maryland, and full contact information for all of the vendors. It can be very handy after the Festival, too, so you might want to bookmark it for future reference. It will also be included in the Festival-at-a-Glance booklet that is handed out at the gate.
For a more interactive experience, don't forget that the main vendor list at http://sheepandwool.org/partners/vendors/ has links to all the vendor's own websites.
Sadly, Ernst Finely Crafted Glass has had to cancel, but that gives us the chance to add someone from the waiting list. Please welcome Windsong Farm from Burdett, New York as a 2018 vendor.

These teeny tiny little sweaters are all hand knitted! Artist Althea Crome describes herself as a micro knitter. She uses silk sewing thread (instead of yarn) and polished surgical wire instead of traditional needles.
Thank you to Fanny Patricia Sepulveda for locating a video of Althea talking about making her wonderful pieces of art at https://youtu.be/NQCf8fjgoJQ

Looks like a great idea for a fulling wool party!
