UPDATE: I was able to get Lee Company to come today. They worked me in. Thank you to all who shared to help me out!! We are going to ice down milk until this is repaired. Problem solving…always something.

I need somebody ASAP who works on commercial fridges. Sort of an emergency as it’s my business fridge 😳

Anybody recommendations in Dickson area?

Sunset Market at The Gorham Homestead

We have an exciting lineup planned for this Thursday night’s Sunset Market at The Gorham Homestead!

Come hungry because we’ll have Southern Smokehouse serving up smoked chicken, pulled pork, brisket, ribs, homemade sides, and all the barbecue favorites. If you’ve had their food before, you already know why people keep coming back for more.

Need something cold to beat the Tennessee heat? Hometown Fizz will be here with their fun summer drink menu featuring loaded lemonades, specialty sodas, energy drinks, cold foam creations, and all kinds of refreshing combinations that are perfect for a summer evening on the farm.

We’ll also have live music from Kyle Thomas, whose country sound and laid-back style are the perfect fit for an evening spent with friends, family, and neighbors.

Of course, we’ll have our lineup of local vendors, farm products, great conversations, and the atmosphere that has made the Sunset Market such a special community gathering place.

Bring a lawn chair, bring the kids, invite a friend, and come spend the evening with us.

Weather permitting, we’ll be kicking things off Thursday evening at The Gorham Homestead. We can’t wait to see y’all there! 🌅🚜🎶🍋🍖

Look folks, I know y’all are tired of politics. I know some of you think voting doesn’t matter anymore or that the system is too broken to make a difference. Heck ..most of us are basically little anarchists. I get it!

But whether you care about politics or not, politics cares about you. We may not be able to vote ourselves OUT of a mess but other people can sure vote us INTO one really quick. 

Every day, decisions are being made that affect what you can buy, what you can grow, how you educate your children, what kind of healthcare choices you can make, and how much control you have over your own life.

Personal freedom is not something we can take for granted. History has shown over and over that freedoms are usually lost a little at a time, often while people are busy with life and not paying attention.

You don’t have to eat, sleep, and breathe politics. Lord knows most of us have enough on our plates already. But I do think it’s important to pay attention and support leaders who believe government works for the people, not the other way around.

If we want to keep the ability to make our own decisions, raise our families according to our values, and live our lives with as little government interference as possible, then sitting out completely may not be the answer.

Even if you don’t do national politics, please engage in Tennessee politics so that we can keep Tennessee free. That means governor, state representatives, local elections, etc. Be engaged, know who you are voting for and VOTE….Because there are people who DO vote that do not share your belief in freedom and personal autonomy. 

Just something to think about.

If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know that I don’t support candidates based on party labels alone. I support people who believe that families should have the freedom to make their own decisions, that government should stay in its lane, and that local communities know what’s best for themselves.

That’s why I’m supporting John Louallen for State Representative.

Over the past several years, I’ve become increasingly involved in the MAHA movement because I believe parents should have the right to make informed decisions for their families, farmers should have the freedom to produce food without unnecessary government interference, and individuals should be trusted to make personal health choices without bureaucrats making those decisions for them.

John’s commitment to limited government, transparency, accountability, term limits, and protecting the values of working families aligns closely with those beliefs. He understands that government works for the people, not the other way around. He also understands the importance of protecting rural communities, small businesses, and the freedoms that many of us sometimes take for granted.

I want representatives who will defend personal liberty, stand up for local communities, and remember that government’s job is to serve the people, not control them.

That’s why John Louallen has my support.

If you’re in District 78, I encourage you to take some time to learn about him and decide for yourself.

Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with Monty Fritts for Governor on several occasions, and the more I’ve gotten to know him, the more I respect him.

One of the things I appreciate most about Monty is that he doesn’t seem to change depending on who he’s talking to. The man you meet in person is the same man you hear speaking publicly. In today’s world, that’s becoming harder and harder to find.

As many of you know, freedom is an issue I care deeply about. I believe parents should make decisions for their children. I believe individuals should make decisions about their own health. I believe property rights matter. I believe government works best when it stays within its proper boundaries and lets people live their lives.

As a farmer, local food advocate, wife, mother, and grandmother, those things aren’t political talking points to me. They’re real life.

I also appreciate Monty’s support for Tennessee farmers, local food systems, constitutional rights, fiscal responsibility, and individual liberty. His support of many of the principles behind the MAHA movement, especially when it comes to health, food quality, transparency, and personal choice, is something that resonates with me as well.

Tee and I were honored to spend time with Monty and Denise again last night. We enjoyed the conversation, the fellowship, and the opportunity to spend time with people who genuinely care about the future of Tennessee.

I’m proud to support Monty Fritts for Governor.

Freedom matters. Family matters. Personal responsibility matters. And those are values worth fighting for.
