It’s twins for rainbow ❤️ a healthy big boy( white) and a healthy sweet girl (badger) Made my heart lighter. Yesterday was sad as I had to bury Mabel’s baby girl that was still born. That’s life though. We win and we lose.

Been crafting heavily this week as I wait on kids to be born. My remaining six does are taking all the time like sloths sleeping on a sunny day 😒. These fun items are being donated to the Williamson County Plant sale sponsored by the Master Gardeners. Soon I will have more made to sell for the farm. The first kid for the season is a boy from Alice. He has a lot to say about being evicted from his nice warm home. Alice is being very attentive. He was very clean and nearly dry when I found them during my rounds. One doe down… 6 more momma’s to go.

This is the face of a disgusted woman farmer person. Today as I went to feed and check on the donkeys , I noticed my mini Jack wasn’t there to greet me. So I feed Pete and company and went looking. I found Jack tangled in barbed wire. Barbed wire that was left over from the previous owners, the redneck white trash owners that used the top five acres ( the house and property we now own ) of their property as a dump. Do you know what old rusted barbed wire looks like to the naked eye??? Dirts. Leaves. Bark. It camouflages right in and is very hard to see. Until it’s wrapped around your donkeys leg. Thank goodness Jack didn’t fight it and waited patiently for help. It could have been so much worse. So I ended up cleaning out a lot of barbed wire and will spend the coming weeks combing through the woods looking for anymore. As always , the journey continues.
