A snowstorm is raging outside… and while I definitely don’t love snow 🤦‍♀️, it turns out it’s the perfect excuse to cozy up with a tea latte and start planning next year’s vegetable and flower gardens. 🫑💐

Today I’m ordering seeds and refreshing my Planting for Success guide so I can share it with the women who are ready to start their own gardens — or grow with more confidence and better results this season. 👩‍🌾✨

I honestly didn’t think I’d do another post on this page, but God’s been working in my heart to help me create a new meaningful pursuit. And because a few of YOU asked me to do this and are the reason I’m pursuing it, I wanted to share here.

I love growing veggies and teaching, so I’ve decided to combine these and offer garden mentoring to women who desire to start their own gardens (or increase their knowledge and success of their current gardens).

I have no desire to build this into a business like ARNKA Acres. Just a small side hustle to fill my need of helping others while doing something I love.

Andy turned our annual turkey sugar cookie decorating into a contest for the kids.

The theme is “Most likely to be on Pinterest.”

According to Nate, we are appealing to our kids’ competitive side to get social media engagement. I just want to pit my kids against each other! 😂

Today marks the last Tuesday we will have the farm open for customers.

I’ve always loved Tuesdays where families come pick up their CSA baskets or retail orders, kiddos run around chasing the kittens and feeding carrot tops to the ponies, moms catching up with each other and swapping favorite fresh produce recipes.

But what I loved the most was connecting with the women who have been a part of my life for several years. Sharing life. Encouraging each other. Laughing together.

I’m excited to see what God has next for me and for new beginnings, but I will never, ever forget those Tuesday Pick Ups. 🥰

Andy thinks my goats are dumb. I think they are smart…or at least I try to convince myself of that.

And then I walk into the barn and see this.

She is on the wrong side of the stall smashed between the fence and the manger, happily eating hay. The other goats can’t reach her and she doesn’t have to fight for a place to eat. But she is likely trapped.

Dumb or smart? 😂😂😂

If you aren’t on our email list, you likely haven’t heard the news.

It was the hardest email I’ve ever written. In it I announced we are closing ARNKA Acres at the end of this year.

We didn’t come by this decision easily. It was hard, but it feels good. It feels right. It IS right.
