Peptos Blu Star (by Once In A Blu Boon) has been bred to Dont Stopp Believin, the highest-earning SON of Dual Rey. But equally as impressive is the fact that DSB's dam is non other than the iconic mare, Don't Look Twice, one of the top overall money earners in the history of the sport, sitting firmly in the top 3 across all divisions.

This outstanding cross couldn't happen for us without the assistance, once again, of Browne's Bridge Veterinary Service, in Glen, MT.

The trailer makes for a good place to get your hands on a foal and make friends. We all have those that just come up in the field and are looking for attention. But there’s always that mare that won’t let u near her baby. 🤨 Ethical Cheating 101 works like a charm. Pushing momma’s big b***y up against the wall leaves them no escape route to get away. They quickly figure out your hands are their friend and pretty soon get addicted to being scratched everywhere. Ethical Cheating 101 means working smarter, not harder.😄

One of our most special mares is a daughter of the great TR Dual Rey. She is 21 this year. We are hoping she can carry one more foal for us. We are currently trying to get her settled. Please send some positive vibes our way on behalf of our Date With TR, who affectionately goes by Scoobey. ❤️

TR Dual Rey died this morning, June 1, 2026. He was 27 years old. He suffered a heart attack shortly after his morning collection. He went quickly, and it was a tender mercy to have been there with him for his last breaths.

It is no exaggeration to say that TR Dual Rey changed my life and the life of my family. The vast majority of anyone who knows me today is because of that horse. I have made thousands of connections on six continents because of him. As my team huddled close around me — TR laying peacefully on the ground — I thanked him out loud. He laid the foundation that made everything possible.

All horses go to heaven. He’s already enjoying the best paddock in the kingdom.

And our buyers realize the significance of that. They want to know the using history of our mommas. They come to us because of that resume. 𝑰𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔.

During the last 7 months we have been seriously looking to add some outside mares to our breeding program. Half our mares have quite a bit of age. We have raised a good majority of them and they are the foundation of our decades long program. The rest are mares we bought or traded for, that came across our paths when we weren't really looking, but are wonderful additions. So really, shopping for mares is new territory. What we didn't really realize was that proven broodmares aren't very plentiful unless they were former show horses. The majority of broodmares on the market are often halterbroke only or have been "lightly started". We discovered that unfinished or never finished mares are making up the basis for a lot of breeding programs. And so while our efforts to acquired any new outside mares hasn't been fruitful yet, we have gained a much greater appreciation for what we do have, something that is way less common than we realize.

We know how much our mares impact our 35+ year program at RCCQH. So we put this little video together of our current mares raising foals, to honor their accomplishments before being RETIRED to the broodmare band.

Paulenas Whiskey (Claire) knocked it out of the park once again. Just shy of a Mother's Day delivery, she foaled at about 1:10 am this morning. She had a BIG stud c**t who we thought was sorrel outside in the dark. We were a bit surprised when we got him inside and he was drying off. He's a dark palomino. It was touch and go for several hours. Like some of the bigger foals, he was clumsy finding the milk bar. After milking out Claire a few times and bottle feeding him, this big goofball got the hang of it!
As of now our son Cory Raffety is retaining him.

We...still...can't...believe..JTR Sweet Spot (Kitty) gave us a FILLY!!

This baby girl arrived at 12:30ish this morning. A chromed up red foal by Metallic Cat .

We decided on this cross HOPING we could get a direct daughter of Metallic Cat into our program. This cross has been done repeatedly at the Rocking P Ranch who owns 𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐂𝐀𝐓 and the now deceased 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐒 𝐇𝐎𝐓. We went the same route, crossing Kitty on MC. Kitty earned over 10K in the cutting pen before injury.

This filly will be staying at Raffety Cattle Company Quarter Horses.🩷 🩷 🩷
