August 25 is National Whiskey Sour Day, and it is one worth celebrating. The Whiskey Sour is one of the most classic cocktails in the book, a timeless combination of whiskey, fresh lemon juice, and a touch of sweetness that has been a staple behind the bar for well over a century.

Add an egg white for a silkier, frothier version known as a Boston Sour, or float a splash of full-bodied red wine on top for a New York Sour. However you make it, this one is hard to go wrong.

Here's what you need:

- 2 oz whiskey
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 egg white (optional)

Here's how to make it:

1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and dry shake (no ice) to incorporate the egg white.
2. Add ice and shake again.
3. Strain over ice into a rocks glass.

There are still a few weeks of summer left, and this Koloa Passion Lemonade is the perfect way to make every last one count. A refreshing blend of dark rum, passionfruit, and lemonade, this tropical cocktail is pure endless summer in a glass. 🍹

Here's what you need:

- 5 oz. passionfruit lemonade (or half passionfruit juice and half lemonade)
- 1 fresh passionfruit (pulp and seeds)
- 1.5 oz. Koloa Dark Rum
- Fresh mint

Here's how to make it:

1. Fill a tall rocks glass with ice.
2. Pour in the passionfruit lemonade.
3. Add the juice and seeds from one passionfruit and stir.
4. Top with Koloa Dark Rum and a few sprigs of fresh mint.

August 18 is National Pinot Noir Day, and we think it is one of the most deserving wines to have its own holiday. 🍷

Pinot Noir is one of the oldest and most celebrated grape varieties in the world, originating in France's Burgundy region and now thriving in wine regions from Oregon's Willamette Valley to California's Sonoma Coast and beyond. What makes it so beloved is its versatility and complexity. It tends to be lighter in body than most reds, with elegant notes of cherry, raspberry, and earthy undertones that make it incredibly food-friendly and easy to enjoy on its own.

It is also one of the more finicky grapes to grow, which is part of what makes a great bottle so rewarding. When it is good, it is really good.
