Put up the tomato fence today, to keep the guineas out. Only 45 tomato plants this year. I must be getting old.

Calling all garlic lovers. A fresh batch of pesto will be available at the market this week. Also available will be 3 varieties of garlic. Saturday, 9 till noon. (Somebody tell Gisela, please.)

Baler gone through 3 belts, now replacing chain dropped somewhere in the field, (mower will find it next time out), mower needed multiple gears and parts including a road trip to KENTUCKY for one part --- close to 3 weeks of repairs, tetter has wheel off and various teeth missing, hole in the woven wire fence, thanks to the tetter, tractor with clogged fuel line. And we still have more than half of our first cutting to bring in. Oh, the joys of hay season.
