Hi everyone! One of our goat areas lines up to the road. Today, I witnessed someone feeding my goats and our pig. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. I do not believe there was ill intent at all, and it appeared to only be some carrots that were going bad. I hollered and tried to get the persons attention (small green truck, older white-haired white person), but they either ignored me or did not hear me. I was not mad, but I can't have anyone just dumping things into our pen or trespassing onto our property. Goats, unlike popular thought, CANNOT eat EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING. I want to monitor what my animals have to eat. It is our responsibility and our money that goes into vet bills to care for these animals (we have an established vet since our start and all their needs are met). If they are fed something wrong, it is our heart that breaks and our bank accounts drained because someone thinks they are helping by dumping their leftovers. PLEASE SHARE AND UNDERSTAND THIS IS NOT OK. If you want to share your veggies and whatnot, come talk to me first. Thank you.
