We’re winding down the summer music season on the Mesa, but we’re not exactly going quietly into the cold.

THIS SUNDAY — AUGUST 30

We’ve got Matthew Marcus McDaniel coming to Divide.

Matthew is a former frontman of Thieves of Sunrise and an international touring artist who’s spent the last several years honing his solo show across the U.S. and Brazil. Blues, soul, rock ’n’ roll, Americana, acoustic, roots—and the kind of one-man-band setup that makes you occasionally look around wondering where the hell the rest of the band is hiding. 😂

Basically: music you can feel.

Cold beer. Mountain air. Live music. Sunday afternoon.

Seems like a pretty solid way to spend the last Sunday of August.

And then…

🔥 LABOR DAY WEEKEND — WE’RE GOING OUT WITH A BANG. 🔥

We’ll close out Music on the Mesa for the season with Paul Blankenship on Saturday and Brian Grace on Sunday.

So if you’ve been saying, “We really need to get up to Paradox for some live music before summer is over…”

This is your warning.

🔥🐖 SMOKIN’ ON THE PASS — HOLY SMOKES. 🔥

Well… that escalated quickly.

Smokin’ On The Pass BBQ was an absolute MEAT-astrophe of epic proportions and you beautiful degenerates showed UP. 😂

Congratulations to all the winners! 🏆🐷 You earned it.

We also witnessed an alarming amount of hardcore porkagraphy this weekend. Just absolutely filthy. Ribs. Butts. Brisket. Sausage. The kind of content that makes your browser history impossible to explain.

And every year the recovery gets harder.
The pork is getting better. The hangovers are getting worse. 😂

Then there was Paul Blankenship absolutely committing musical crimes with that speedgrass smoking banjo. 🔥🪕
Seriously… WHO GAVE THAT MAN PERMISSION?!

Holy smokes.
BBQ. Beer. Banjo. Pork. Chaos.

Pretty much exactly what we do around here.

Danny has been crisscrossing the country for 25 years, playing thousands of shows and writing songs that somehow manage to be heartfelt, funny, honest and occasionally make you question your own life choices.

Basically: come hear an actual damn songwriter.

Our own local hero returns to the Mesa.

Going back to our roots.

As we start working on our new project (more on that later 👀), we figured it was time to rewind a little and bring back something very, very Paradox:

🤠 In true Paradox fashion…we just can’t leave well enough alone.

If you’ve been around here for any length of time, you already know we’re always tinkering, building, brewing, improving…and occasionally driving our staff completely nuts with another “great idea.”

Well…

We’ve officially started work on a brand-new Paradox project.

More on that later.

With that said, it’s going to mean some changes to our kitchen.

After a damn good run, it’s time for Gallos Borrachos to saddle up, tip its hat, and ride off into the sunset. 🌅🌯🤠

We’re incredibly proud of what Gallos Borrachos became, and we’re grateful to everyone who supported it, ordering way too many tacos and burritos, and helped make it part of the Paradox story.

But fear not…

Paradox will absolutely still be feeding you.

In fact, we think you’re going to love what’s coming next.

We’re not ready to pull the curtain back just yet, but let’s just say we’ve been having a blast watching everyone speculate about what’s happening behind the construction in the kitchen.

We’ve heard some pretty entertaining theories.

No…we’re not building a casino.

No…it’s not a sushi bar.

And no…we’re (probably) not installing a hibachi grill.

You’ll just have to wait a little longer.

Stay tuned over the next few weeks as we share a few hints along the way.

This next chapter is going to be pure Paradox.
