We're proud to help share a special line of skincare, launched by our friend, Rebecca Lobo - Bexi's Bespoke Revitalisation - which incorporates goats milk from our very own Lafawnduh.

I met Rebecca several years ago when serving beer at the little Ruhstaller Farm & Yard taproom in Dixon. It was awesome to get reacquainted with her when she walked into The Pip Wine Bar & Shop last year (It was a "hey! I know you!" moment).

We talked about food, wine, natural products, sensitive skin.... from my handmade soaps for sensitive skin to her real passion and business - customized skincare for sensitive skin. Of course, skincare is more than skin deep - so that discussion had us talking for hours.

And it turns out, she's also a University of Virginia alumna.

Back to Bexi's special Spring 2021 line of serums - made with Lafawnduh's milk. I've been using my serum for several weeks now and have noticed my rosacea is less flare-y, the peri-peri-menopause mini-acne stuff has taken a step back and my overall skin hydration is healthier.

It's amazing that my local, pre-Pip job has lead to such an amazing connection.

Doing our best to create more & better discussion of wines. Next Thursday, 10/22, we’re hosting a virtual blind tasting on Zoom - everyone will have the same two wines wrapped up - we’ll taste and talk - working on translating the wine tasting experience from thoughts & feelings to “using our words” and analogies. There’s no right or wrong - the tasting is meant to encourage discussion while we sip on some lovely wines. Get your set at the shop or online (for delivery).

At 10:38 PM on August 17th part of what became the Hennessey Fire and the LNU Lightning Complex ran through their property. The scene was apocalyptic. They had no warning. The only reason Jasmine and her family survived, at all, was the fact that Jasmine had a window open and heard the fire approach...
