We started the day fresh, smiling, and ready to go…
We ended the day hot, sweaty, sunburned, dirty, and DONE! 🤣

But we had an absolute blast at the Ozarks Homesteading Conference! We met so many wonderful people, learned a ton, made some great connections, and talked all things homesteading and farm life.

10/10 would do it again… preferably when it’s not 208 degrees outside. 😂🔥

Another awesome person we ran into at the Ozarks Homesteading Conference was Kody and her husband Ron! ❤️🌱

Kody is the creator of The Homestead Education, and this one is extra special to us because Ford actually did her Introduction to Homestead Science curriculum when he was a freshman—and he LOVED it! 📚🐓🌾

She offers so many different homesteading curriculums for all ages, making it such a great resource for homeschool families who want to incorporate real-life homesteading skills into their education.

It was so fun getting to see Kody and Ron again! They are genuinely such great people!

And ANOTHER awesome connection we made today! ❤️

We met Bud and his daughter—and guess where they’re from?! MICHIGAN! 🤯 Of course, Adam and Bud became fast friends!

But y’all… it gets even better. Guess what Bud sells?!

🐔 CHICKEN TRACTORS! 😂😂😂

They’re made by FarmCraft, and we’re going to be talking with Bud about possibly carrying them at St. Pierre Homestead & Farm Supply!

I’m just saying… first Cackle Hatchery helps me prank Adam with a chicken box, and NOW we meet someone who sells chicken tractors.

At this point, Adam, I feel like the universe is trying to tell you something. 😂🐥

All joking aside, one of the best parts of being here has been meeting such wonderful people, making new friends, and finding new opportunities for our little homestead business. We’re excited to see where this connection might lead!

And Bud… I’m pretty sure you’re officially on Team Jody Gets Chickens. 😂🐔❤️

🐔😂 THE GREAT CHICKEN PRANK
A huge thank you to our friends at Cackle Hatchery for helping me pull one over on Adam today!
Most of you know that Adam and I are currently in an ongoing CHICKEN STANDOFF. 😂 I want chickens. Adam says NO because apparently, “You won’t take care of them.” 🙄 Excuse me, sir… I am not 5 years old. 😂
Well, today the folks at Cackle Hatchery gave me one of their chick boxes to take over to Adam.

Y’all… HE WAS SO MAD. 😂😂😂

I walked up carrying that box like I had just bought myself some chickens. Then I said, “Don’t you want to see them?! They’re SO CUTE!” 🐥❤️

He was NOT amused.

And then he opened the box…

EMPTY! 😂😂😂

I may not have gotten my chickens today, but I definitely got a good laugh!
And if you love chickens—or apparently just enjoy encouraging wives who want chickens 😂—Cackle Hatchery is having their 2026 Annual Chicken Festival October 2nd & 3rd in Lebanon, Missouri! It sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun!

It’s not very often you run into other St. Pierres… but today WE DID! 😂❤️

And get this—they’re from Versailles, Missouri AND they homeschool too! What are the chances?! Such a small world!

They were seriously the sweetest, most awesome people, and they also own a fantastic business serving up some AMAZING Cajun food! 🌶️🦐

Thank you so much for dinner—it was SOOO yummy! We absolutely loved getting to meet you guys and make a new St. Pierre connection! ❤️

Who knew we’d have to come to a homesteading conference to find more St. Pierres?! 😂
