We’re looking for a dependable Kitchen Lead to join our small neighborhood wine bar team. This is a hands-on position helping keep the kitchen organized, prepared, and running smoothly during service.
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Approximately 20–30 hours per week; Friday & Saturday afternoon/evenings & Sundays
Compensation: starting at $18/hour, depending on experience
What You’ll Do
- Lead kitchen operations during assigned shifts.
- Prepare and plate food according to recipes and quality standards.
- Complete daily prep and help keep the kitchen stocked and organized.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
- Assist with inventory, receiving deliveries, and minimizing food waste.
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, team-oriented kitchen.
- Contribute ideas for seasonal dishes, specials, and wine-friendly food.
What We’re Looking For
- Some restaurant, kitchen, prep, or food-service experience preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in food and a willingness to take initiative.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Available for evenings and weekends.
- Food-handler certification must be obtained and maintained as required by California law.
